Star Wars Miniatures
The Star Wars Miniatures collection offers a great board game that doesn't require too much time or space to play. The miniatures are also exactly the right size for use with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game, which I would highly recommend. The old roleplaying system was made by West End Games, which I haven't tried.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent game, and great preview of 4th ed. D&D   December 31, 2007
Great game. Never played previous editions of Star Wars, but I am a D&D veteran, from 1st edition AD&D to 3.5, and I'm pretty happy with the simplified system here.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent streamlining   December 1, 2007

When I first heard about a new version of the Star Wars RPG, I was initially hesitant. There had been a year of little to no support for the previous version and of course I was skeptical. However after purchasing the new product I came to enjoy the fact that it really did serve as a streamlining of what had become an unwieldy system. It accomplished its goal of making the game easier to play (without abandoning the role-playing aspect). As someone who has used the original WEG RPG, as well as the previous versions of the WOTC Star Wars RPGs, I have to say this is the most enjoyable of all the systems to both myself and many of my fellow gamers.

4 out of 5 stars Good item   November 30, 2007
At first look, the book seems odd due to it's unusual size. It's a high quality item, regarding cover, images, paper etc.

About the system itself, it's interesting, but I think that the book could be better developed.

For example, there are few spaceships and vehicles in it's session, few detailed planets, no photos regarding armor and weapons.

I recommend it, but it'll be really better when add-ons arrive.

4 out of 5 stars Excelent updated corebook!   November 19, 2007
They really did a good job in balancing and fixing many of the rules from the previous versions of Star Wars Roleplaying Game.

The Saga Edition, as they call it, completely changes the character leveling system from previous versions. It unifies many of the different classes that used to exist. For example, now there is no more Fringer class, nor the different Jedi classes. Instead, there is a single Jedi class with different "talent" trees that they can pick abilities from in order to differentiate themselves from others of the same class. The Scout now has a Fringer talent tree, as well as two other trees to pick abilities from. In the end, the new rules makes for much more unique characters, completely suited to each individual player.

The artwork of the book is excelent, including some still shots from the movies series, as well as some nicely illustrated artwork. They also included information for the universe about the time during the clone wars (Episodes 1-3) which was not included in previous versions of the corebook.

I highly recommend this book for any paper and pencil gamers out there, it is a rich world suited for interesting campaigns.

Wat Tambor & Droid Reinforcements
Maybe I'm having a brain fart, but do you have to follow the normal squad building rules when bring in the non-unique droids for this SA? It doesn't say from any faction, so I'm assuming you must follow the normal faction rules.

Female Minis Players
Out of curiosity how many girls do you guys have in your Minis Group. My LGS has two that shows up for tourneys on a regular basis, myself and another. Also how do the gals do in your events? Are they frequent attendees and what do they play?

I had a dream, it was weird.
I had a dream last night. It went like this: I went to my LGS and bought a pack, I don't remember what it was, but I remember being sad about what I pulled. Until I opened the cards and there was a letter from Rob in there. It said "congratulations, you've won a tour of the factory and you also...

All right I know this might in the wrong spot but I really need to know where I can get the Clone Wars map and the KOTOR promo maps... Also can someone post a pic of the CW map? Thank you in advance. Oh and My LGS didn't have the right poster map for KOTAR :( So any help would be great!

I don't post much here but I do read the threads quite often and I've noticed a bit of negativity as of late. I just wanted to encourage the admins and creators of star wars minis to not get discouraged by it. I for one want you to know that I'm not leaving the game, am not angry about any new...

House rules for melee
Please let me know if this thread belongs in a different forum (customs perhaps?)... Would like to hear what folks are using for house rules to help melee out. I know a lot of folks generally agree that melee is underpowered in the game, and I happen to be one of them (and yes I know a lot of...

Vong able to go into any army?
Can't remember where I saw this notion but somewhere it was suggested that the Vong could act as Fringe and be added to any army. Was this just an "idea" or something that's actually done in tournaments and whatnot? Personally I find the Vong near unplayable in any effective manner, but if they...

Oddball's CE
So, Oddball's CE says: Allied characters with Pilot gain Grenades 20 and Penetration 20. Does this mean that a Shistavanen Pilot does not benefit from his CE, because he does not have the Pilot ability? I'm assuming that's the way it works (see Nym's CE for a similar example). The only thing...

Green Stuff?
Hello all you costomizers out there, I was wondering what "green stuff's" official name was? And also, pretty much how to use it to sculpt minis or mini parts? Thanks. :D

Looking for checklists
I seem to have misplaced some checklists and wondered if there's anywhere or anyone that could help me out? I'm missing Force Unleashed, Bounty Hunters and Champions of the Force.
